I doubt you have friends that are shia. It sounds shady because for starters, no one calls themselves a "shiats." If anything, the majority doesn't want a sunni shariat.

I live in eastern saudi, the majority of my co-workers are shia, some of my best friends are shia, and for you to "doubt" that just tells me you don't know shit about this region and just misinformed bafoon. Keep your made up ideas and conclusions to your self.
