Sunni Muslim royal family declaring a Shi'ite Muslim group outlaws? Who'd have thunk it?

But they continue to support Hamas, all this signals is that they still consider Sunni terrorism to be acceptable but have politically gathered enough Shia enemies (Iran/Syria) to condemn that specific brand.
I'm sure many will welcome it but it's hypocritical coming from them.

so unprincipled. you can bet that if it weren't for syria, bahrain and the other arab gulf states would be lavishing praise on hezbollah for being a cudgel against israel.

Perhaps they'll redeploy to Bahrain's borders instead of Israel's now.

This has less to do with EVIL J00Z LOBBY PUPPET STATE and more to do with the domestic interests of the Bahraini monarchy, which is sunni but dominates a Shia-majority country. During the 2011 unrest there, Iran/Hezbollah aided the opposition (not out of some altruism, see them combating the opposition in Syria) and this pissed off the monarchy.

I find it odd that whether a group is a terrorist organization or not is left up to a government to decide.

Well rest assured that in a few weeks/months, when the UN investigation into the Rafiq Hariri murder delivers its conclusions, a lot more countries will follow suit and recognise Hizbollah for what it is and has always been - a vile terrorist group. You heard it here first.
