View submission: Improving walkability cost me an election
Would love to chime in and say as another resident directly adjacent to one of these new bus lanes: they ROCK! Not just for making the bus run smoother (huge perk), or for removing parking (excellent), but because they effectively make the road less wide for pedestrians to cross and daylight the intersections by default. Walking and cycling across Lake feels significantly safer today than it did even a year ago.

I utilize the Lake St station a lot on the occasions I want to go to Target, get food, going to the library after work and it's sooo much more comfortable to walk around compared to before.

Dude for real - even for the sections that do have parking to the right side of the lanes, when I do have to park it makes parking easier too cuze people donβt have to wait for me to fix my messed up parallel parking job ππ
