There's an almost hour-long video I stumbled upon on youtube a while back talking about how it's a perfect movie and I still think about that video from time to time. Let me see if I can find a link.

I agree. I consider pirates to be one of the best examples of a “perfect movie”. everything about it is just stellar for me.
