Recently watching LOTR Fellowship of the Ring, for the thousandth time and realized it might be the most perfectly cast movie of all time.

I was racking my brain all day today trying to think of another movie with a decent sized cast to compare it to but couldn’t think of any others.

What are other movies where every character is exactly right for their role?

The 90s version of The Addams Family. Especially Anjelica and Raul but the entire cast were just perfection for me.

The first Pirates of the Carribbean. Every single actor, both main and supporting, is perfect for their role.

I'm shocked that I got here this late and am still the first person to mention **Clue**.

Martin Mull, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKeen, Lee Ving...plus all the ones I'm forgetting because I'm going off the top of my head. I mean, that's an All Star cast.

They cast Lee Ving as Mr. Body for the pun! And he nailed it anyway despite never acting in anything else before or since.

Back to the Future. Thank god they replaced Eric Stoltz with Michael J Fox. The perfectly cast Christopher Lloyd and Fox have great chemistry. With Lea Thompson, Crispin Glover, and a really great Thomas F Wilson, they nailed it.

The Blues Brothers. Even Matt Guitar Murphy couldn't act his way out of a paper bag, and it's still perfect.

L.A. Confidential, and even though spacey turned out to be a disappointment as a human, it was still a brilliant ensemble cast

I just remember the OG X-men movie, being in the early run of those comic-to-movie transitions that are oh so popular now, being pretty much every x-men nerd's fan vote for who to cast. Patrick Stewart and Hugh Jackman were obviously perfect, but Ian McKellan, Halle Berry, even James Marsden as cyclops all kinda feel like they couldn't really have been topped.

School of Rock

Jack Black is the only person who could make it work, and those kids were dynamite.

I suppose not a single film but actually the MCU has done really well considering how many characters they’re juggling. RDJ as Iron Man, Evans as Captain America, Hemsworth as Thor etc.

The first 3 Indy movies were really well cast. Sean Connery as Indy’s dad was brilliant casting.

Seven. Obviously Pitt, Freeman and Spacey were iconic, but Gwyneth Paltrow was great for her role and R. Lee Ermey played a surprisingly subdued character but was still magnetic.
