I go to high school in Austin, and I would say the atheists outnumber the theists. Beacon of light in Texas

I've always heard of Austin as the oasis in Texas.

I grew up in Houston, was known as an atheist throughout high school at a private religious school, was well-liked and never bothered about it.

Cities in Texas are great, rural Texas is different but still not actually that bad. I go to college in New York and have encountered way more vocal religious/conservative dummies than I ever had to spend time around in Texas.

Went to grade school outside Austin and college at UT. The only thing wrong with Austin is that it's surrounded by Texas. And that everybody here seems to be from Dallas.
