I am going to guess (occam's razor) and just say they didn't think they needed her. It sounds like the admin team had a contingency plan in place for when they let her go, where existing employees would take on her responsibilities.
r/IAMA thrived before her and will thrive after
They don't seem like they are looking to replace her, so it doesn't seem like she did anything explicitly wrong.
