After kn0thing's response[1] , I'm a little worried we won't ever find out why she was fired.

We probably won't. It's a common courtesy that when you fire somebody, you don't publicly comment on the reasons. It happens in exceptional cases[1], but I suspect Victoria is smarter than that.
