Yes exactly this. I also had some “pre-ocd” type issues or maybe even mild OCD as a teen (it was exercise related stuff like I had to exercise every muscle group each time I worked out to feel even and couldn’t have a shower if I hadn’t exercised first), but when I managed other stresses in my life, it improved. I still have some very very mild traits and think I can better understand what people with OCD are going through, but I’d never say I have it. I probably just am predisposed to it or something. My cousin has it life-ruiningly severely, and he has had a tougher upbringing than me, it started mild for him too and got out of control for him because of the life stresses.
