View submission: Pixel 8 intermittent green screen help
Dam that's wild, I just got this issue, contacted Google customer support and they said they couldn't help due to being out of warranty, so I spent $180 on an ifixit kit. Haven't used the kit (screen is normal 90% of the time) but I'll see if I can return it and chat with Google support again.

Don't chat with anyone from Google. Just go to the help page and search for your issue and follow the steps, the process is entirely automated aside from you contacting your local shop.
Also how on earth would you be out of warranty? All Pixel 8s got an extended screen warranty of 3 years. It's impossible for you to be out of that period, the phone isn't even two years old. I swear it genuinely doesn't seem like anyone from Google Support knows what they're doing sometimes.

They tried to give me same story. I was out of warranty by one day. One time courtesy to let me proceed. They know it's an issue but will still charge you for it out of warranty. I traded in as soon as I got it fixed. Even though it was only happening occasionally and I could fix by rubbing the screen it became a hassle.
