OCD can shift from focus to focus. So you can have it all your life but when you’re a kid it’s focused on your grades and performance. Then as a young adult it shifts to food and relational and then as a parent it shifts to harm focused, etc…
Basically OCD tends to attack whatever you really care about. It’s a thought pattern thing that you need to break. And relationships are one of those focuses that some people with OCD struggle with.
