found out my low-tech IoT room temperature measurement setup didn't work anymore since I started using HTTPS on my website. Anyone know how to set up SSL on an ESP8266EX? CIPSSLCCONFIG and CIPSSLSIZE both return errors for some reason.

Considering buying a secondhand modded Prusa i3 to replace my Ender 3 V1 that's been collecting dust because I can't be bothered to fix the clogged nozzle, wobbly print bed and level the bed by hand...

Why won't a PHP-script work on my XAMPP server but work just fine on a remote web server? It's simple, they each use different versions of PHP. Fixing the problem, however, is not simple.

I'm considering developing a IoT control interface with a RPi and a touch screen display. Should I write the application in something web based (like PHP) or C#?

I have a DHT11 sensor hooked up to an arduino to measure the temperature and humidity in my basement, and the humidity has stayed around 80-90% since I started measuring half a year ago. I wonder what could cause it.

tried a new recipe today, only found out after throwing the onions and garlic in the frying pan that is has to go in the oven at the end (pan isn't oven-safe) and that it didn't need any garlic at all. oops.

I managed to get a gemini capsule running on an old phone! it only starts listening on its port when I tell Agate where its content folder is, and goes down when I cancel that command. Not sure why. at least SSH works too, programming on a Blackberry keyboard is not easy.

I have two old Samsung tablets collecting dust in a closet. I remember installing LineageOS on one of them a while ago, and then forgetting about it. What should I do with them?

Hi, I'm new here! I discovered Gemini by diving into a rabbit (worm?) hole of privacy friendly and free software, and this seemd a fun little thing to try. I hope I'll be able to contribute something to the gemverse soon, until then I'll keep diving :) Cheers!
