Question: when I see those flags/warnings that say that a site' s certificate has changed... what am I supposed to do? Is there a repository of places where people can register and say "yep, that was me who changed it" or "nope, I didn't change my certificate, so watch out" ?

I think I want to start a gemlog, but I'm not ready to self-host yet. Any suggestions on where I could/should look for hosting? There's so many and I don't know which ones are geared for specific communities. Where's a good general place to start?
Is there some kind of static-site generator for gemlogs? Or not the software itself, but a standard set of style guides for things like "this will make your gemlog more easily navigable by adding the appropriate links to the ends of documents, collecting an index, dating files properly, and adding tags iff wanted? Or is that against the spirit of the protocol, and I should continue using the bash scripts I've cobbled together towards that purpose?
