One of my students now thinks I am a wizard. Student asked where to find Alex Haley's ROOTS in the library; I walked right to the shelf and pulled it off. I'm not sure whether to be amused that this kid now thinks I know the exact location of every book or annoyed that my lessons on how to use call numbers didn't seem to take. XD

Our picture books are very roughly grouped by illustrator's last name (A-G, H-N ect) but sometimes when I had just looked for a book, I can pull another one right off the shelf and I always love it because that looks like wizardy :D But man I feel you on the teaching of call numbers because so often I'm like WE JUST DID THAT I REMEMBER YOU BEING AT THAT COURSE! · 3 weeks ago
