twoflower: maria's nethack community
A couple weeks ago I finally dusted off my .slrnrc and rejoined Usenet, prompted by the announcement of comp.infosystems.gemini. In addition to that and comp.infosystems.gopher, I don’t know what else to subscribe to. Is anyone else using Usenet?
Expressing an opinion that will be popular with literally nobody: I actually kinda want Lagrange to add support for HTML/HTTP.
Which Mastodon instance should I use? I'm not looking to spend a lot of time on a new social network, but in leiu of a "comments section", I would like to have a place where people can respond to things that I write (and where I can plug my writings). I'm interested in things like permacomputing, ecology, sustainable living, open source, and things in that vein.
What Gemini servers are people running now? I'm looking for something to serve home capsules for a small tilde community. Ideally it would be easy to configure for this task and is being actively maintained (for bug fixes and security patches).
