Well, I guess Germany is the Chernobyl meme right now. We didn't fuck it up but we could have done SO MUCH BETTER. My home city is solidly socialist and green party, so there's that at least.

@barvarianbarbarian I think there will never be a system where everyone believes the same thing, and definitely not worldwide. I don't think it's in our nature to agree that much with each other, and there will always be people who feel they don't fit into the system or simply disagree with it for whatever reason. Which I chose to see as one of our great strengths - at our best, we're good at taking that diversity, accomodating it and learning from each other. At our worst, we're right back to the fascists. But I am a believer in Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations as maybe THE motor of the development of human society, even at the price of conflict. 路 2 months ago
@bookscorpion that was my intention to call it 'ignore the moral'. nazies, conquistadores, mongols etc... they are/were doing the same shit all the time.. thinking they doing it the right way, we have a saying here, what i can translate to kinda 'the way to hell is covered with good attentions'. but anyway, glad that we could get rid of this little misunderstanding. i have another theory what we could discuss if you like to, do you think the world could be more peaceful if just one 'system' had 'won'? no matter if it is communism, nazis or anything else? when everyone 'believes' in the same thing, theres no more arguing? line in brave new world? 路 2 months ago
@barvarianbarbarian thank you for the apology and explanation, it's gladly accepted. I am just really allergic to people saying 'ok but the Nazis did SOME things right', because 99% of the time it's not actually true or only true if you ignore some other major factors, and for a whole lot of people (of which I would have been one) even the start of the Reich where it all looked great would already have been a nightmare. Hence my reaction. I am glad we could resolve this! 路 2 months ago
@bookscorpion i am sorry, but you got me totally wrong. i apologize me for that. there's no naive cynisim... i am serious.. no bad intentions on my side. maybe there are some misunderstandings due not native speakers... what i just wanted to say.. it makes no difference if you are killing indians, jews, or anyone other in the name of.. it is bs, i hope you can get my point of view. hope you can understand that, looking forward to talk with you. 路 2 months ago
@bavarianbarbarian Do not ever again dare to come on my capsule and ask me to ignore the morality of a fascist regime, especially not to make a point about it that shows at best a half-baked understanding of history and is at worst Nazi propaganda (also true for your first reply, please do some research). Take your uninformed and naive cynicism elsewhere. 路 2 months ago
@bookscorpion without regarding the moral.. the start for nadsie germany was quite good... but bad in the endgame... i am interestest in such stuff.. from the roman empire to sun tzu till temudschin... in the end... war.. war never changes... humans killing other humans for no reason...we are such a dumb species... vhemnt 路 2 months ago
@bavarianbarbarian well not the Nazis would have been a good start. 路 2 months ago
nothing i did not expect... daily stabbing, rape, etc.. from migrants, what do you think the normal people are voting for? 路 2 months ago
@fab I REALLY really hope that the CDU has learned from last time. I'm not holding my breath but still. But yeah, I did cackle at seeing the FDP get the kick, that was well deserved and I hope they won't be back in a hurry. 路 2 months ago
I prayed so much that the FDP is out and my wishes were heared. Maybe there is a god. On the other hand the effing AfD did get way too many influence. And I bet that the CDU will vote with the voices of them in the parliament and don't mind. 路 2 months ago
