High KP index tonight, I'm dead set on getting these galaxies caught. Started before true-dark to give me a higher chance of finding one or two before the northern lights start. I started trying to find NGC 3607, but after 40 minutes of not being able to spot it I had to give up and move on.

Took a while to find, not as long to see it once it was found. Took time with AV to see that it is mostly face-on, but I'm not very confident on sketch of the shape and size (it is very faint in the sketch). I did catch brief glimpses of a tiny core. Just as I was finishing my notes, I looked up and started to see whisps of the northern lights.

With the northern lights overhead, I gave up any attempt to see other galaxies tonight and switched to something brighter. I had not viewed M 3 since 2022 and wanted an opportunity to sketch a globular cluster. Similar to in 2022, I could not resolve any individual stars. I wanted to attempt 165x with the 3x barlow, but I didn't have it on me at the time.
