The World Wide Web of today is not what was envisioned back in the day. The Web has become a commercial vehicle for marketing, spying, eavesdropping, government suppression, and state-backed malfeasance among many other things.
The Gemini project, as I see it, brings the best of what the Web offered in its early days back to the people for information exchange, collaboration, and, well, fun! The Web isn't fun anymore and we've lost the thing that really made it special.

I started programming at 14 when color monitors were rare and BASIC was the language enthusiasts and hobbyists used as an entry point to the world of programming. 30 years later, I'm a senior technology executive during the day and by night, I still write code because that's what I love.
I'm a Linux enthusiast and FOSS advocate. Redhat was my first distribution back in '99 and today I use Arch Linux as my distro of choice. When I can't use Linux, I have to admit that I am a fan of Macs and macOS (that M1 chip simply cannot be beaten!) :)
