It's interesting to me that as mammals who seem to be losing our ears bit by bit (and who can no longer move them in any meaningful way) we still read the ear movements of other mammals with some accuracy. I often laugh at my cat for "ignoring" me, by looking away but with her ears turned round so she is basically still looking right at me in her own way.
I wonder if our little ears bother her?
