@futurebird I have an Aussie friend, who is very smart but super neurotic, who does not do outdoorsy things because EVERYTHING is out to kill you in Australia. But I also convinced her that it was safe to get on a plane to go back to Australia by reminding her that there were hundreds of flights a day across the pacific. The statistics didn’t help, but not being alone in the sky solved it. So I don’t know about her assessment of spiders.
