Black Hat Guy is the one with the cannon, and normally one would go on to explain the new headcanon. For example, "New headcanon: xx and xx get together." In this case, the other guy said "yeah?" expecting an explanation of it.

Ohhh that makes a lot more sense. I thought the colon was an inaudible indicator that there was going to be an explanative demonstration.
