View submission: Improving walkability cost me an election
I should say that I’m venting a bit. Losing by 200 votes was well within my ability to change. This was ultimately on me. I learned a lot about campaigning as well and that a race for Mayor is very different than a race for Commissioner.

I’d encourage you to run again or at least stay involved in other ways with planning in the city. We desperately need better city planning in small towns like Ashland and it would be a shame to let that momentum die. The fact you came so close shows that there’s a lot of people who like the changes, and that’ll likely increase once construction is over and people can see the benefits in action
