They do it simply because they want to take away our rights. It starts with small steps, usually towards a minority group that are easy to fear monger about and slowly grows over time.

I get it, but I've seen it in action. Like they "flood the zone" so they have leverage to get Dems and moderate Reps to vote for other things they really want. Although now I'm not sure there's any moderate Rs in Texas lege any more.
