Oh please, Dan. **“Life-threatening” THC?** The only thing cannabis has ever threatened is a bag of Doritos at 2 AM. Meanwhile, alcohol and opioids are out here actually ruining lives, but sure—let’s focus on demonizing a plant.

Maybe instead of fear-mongering, y’all could do your jobs and push for proper regulation. Or better yet, focus on getting non-violent cannabis offenders *out* of prison instead of pretending THC is some supervillain.

Protecting the freedom to pray in school? Are there groups going around stopping anyone during a prayer? Or are they implying it will be forced prayer, like after the pledge of allegiance, everyone prays together? Very different things.

Half of these aren't even problems and the other half are incredibly stupid.

At the top is the very unpopular school vouchers, which everyone hates except the Guv and his billionaire friends.

What a fucking shitshow of bills. Texas DOGE? Teaching about the horrors of communism when those chuckleheads can't even define it. The 10 commandments in schools?

JFC.

This list reads like something you’d find in one of the wasteland computers in a Fallout game.

Reads like a Texas Project 2025. Y'all come out and protest Wednesday at the Capitol. 11am-4pm.

Teach “The horrors of communism” but not about slavery, civil rights, or the holocaust which was mentioned in that other thread out of Little Elm. WTF

14 of the 25 bills are right wing culture war BS that is just signaling to the base and are pushed by those two religious west texas billionaires with an agenda. This is how proof that our Texas Government is now just a tool for those two wack jobs.

SB16 - stopping non-citizens from voting

This one won't get as much press thanks to all the dumb voucher and DOGE shit, meaning they're going to try and sneak through a lot of really nasty voting restrictions. Among many other proposals I've seen online, we could very likely see:

I wonder if the numbering is an indication of priority ?

If so, then reliable water and electric should be higher. Also non citizens aren't voting, I like how they are solving problems that don't exist

I love that we can’t vote against this. It’s just dickhead Dan Patrick’s goals for the world. When did we consent to being in a authoritative regime? I thought Texas was about freedom. Also, the 10 Commandments in school is such a joke. Keep church and stay completely separated. I’m also tired of hearing about government does the government efficiency it’s just a plan to steal money from the people and I can’t wait to see what Texas educational reforms gonna be. We’re losing all of our I’ll legal workers who do the hard work so it’s gonna be all of our kids getting terrible education so they’re dumb and they don’t know any better and they’ll just work for these oligarchs forever. I’m so happy to live in this terrible terrible country now.
