We are kinda pissed that our government violated the 1st amendment of our constitution. “National Security Concerns” my ass. If we had real concerns, they should look into passing some sort of privacy law much like other EU counties have. The USA government wants our private industry to keep tabs on us for the Patriot Act and alike to have any real capabilities.

No people aren’t fleeing to it, they’re doing it on purpose to show that this ban really isn’t about protecting data.

Also, considering the ban was pushed through on a Ukrainian funding package (because it failed under the Restrict Act) is also disingenuous considering several who voted yes said that the ban would fail, but desperately wanting the funding for Ukrainian aid. Edit: added last bit for clarification on the reason they voted yes.
