It is possible to completely ban an app based on geolocation data. You’d have to have a device purchased from outside of the USA, being used outside of the USA to be able to use RedNote under those conditions.

The next move would probably be ban any social media associated with China. Which won’t be hard to justify. I also don’t know what the whole big fuss is about if we do. China blocks almost everything from the US.

I feel like Im living in a fever dream. Out of paranoia of china, they ban tiktok. Now it is like a hydra splitting in two and we have lemon8 and little red book.
On little red book people are even more intimately connected to china than ever. A huge amount of people are being exposed to Chinese culture and language. Their plan to shield us from china completely backfired lol.
Side note I see a lot of people happy about lgbt topics being banned on littleredbook. Not surprised, but just a bit weird. At least people can't hate on it either then?

I mean they just ban it when it reaches the number of users outlined in the law. They already have the infrastructure and the legal part down, there's no need to relitigate it.

If people in the US are actually fleeing to an app literally named after Mao’s little red book, they’re even dumber than we thought.
