Came here to post this. Obviously fuck Partey and I want him gone ASAP, but I’m getting more than a little tired of people on social media who are happy to lean into their pretend outrage to dunk on Arsenal fans but the first to post “Well he really forced that one in/gave the opponent no choice OMEGALUL” every time he scores or makes a tackle or something.
I know a lot of people, myself and yourself included, are rightly outraged that he’s still playing but a lot of the time the “Your club employs a rapist” stuff feels very performative to me. People don’t actually give a shit that women were assaulted, they just want to engage in cheap point scoring on the internet. It’s sad.
