View submission: Embracing Simple Living: What’s Your Favorite Change That’s Made Life Better?
I cut all visual content (videos) from my life. I haven't watched TV (national channels and cable TV) since 2006 but I still consumed the occasionally series or movie on streaming platforms. Since 2022 I stopped all visual content and replaced it with written (reading the news, reading articles, books, and audio content, like podcast and audiobooks).
This has been incredible freeing, I've always felt that consuming visual information is quite aggressive and most of the time manipulative, It makes me feel like there is a part of my critical thinking that does not engage during visual information, that I'm just there for the ride. I feel more in control now with what I chose to read and hear.

This is amazing! Did you do this all at once or slowly over time? Did you find it hard at first? I’m imagining I would have a withdrawal process for sure.
