Hey thanks for letting me know that you also don’t understand how things works. Cars arrive at the dealer. It takes time to process clean and prep them. They are often showed prior to the happening if someone is interested. A beat old car is not going to be brought to brand new. It’s going to get a safety inspection and oil change and that’s about it. They aren’t replacing dented panels and stained seats. They would be detailed before delivery. These are cash cars. They’re old and sold as-is. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Nobody is saying they expect the car to be brought to "brand new". But you do expect non-cosmetic damages to be addressed and a basic vacuum job. Even the rinky dink used dealers on Western manage that much.

Right, so no one asked for a TED Talk, but ok.
A beat-to-shit old car isn't going to be sold off the lot of a reputable, sponsored dealership, it would almost definitely be sent to auction. This isn't a "cash cars" dealership. If they are showing fuckass cars that are filthy, they can lose not just their reputation but also their brand sponsorship. It's not just because it makes them look bad, brands have procedures, regulations, and standards that their sponsored dealerships are contractually obligated to follow.
Dealerships do body work on cars ALL the time when it will make them more money than taking them to auction, and those vehicles are kept off the sales lot until repairs are done, even at "cash for cars" type dealerships. If they *are* shown to a buyer, then the purchase will be on the condition that repairs will be made before delivery, OR the customer can *sometimes* negotiate the price to reflect existing damage, if they want to fix it themselves.
No dealership is going to repair every flaw on a used car; I've bought plenty of cars with minor scratches and dents, but no *reputable, sponsored* dealership is selling cars with bashed-in panels and allowing customers to pick up cars that are filthy.
You must be insufferable irl, I can't imagine someone so argumentative about something so irrelevant that they're also dead wrong about. Grow up.
