View submission: Escalators etiquette
In other countries where escalators are a fair bit longer it’s normal to walk on them.
If you want to stand still why don’t you use the elevator? 😉

I know someone that grew up in a WA country town that insists that escalators aren't for walking only for standing. The country town had no escalators lol so why they think this is still a mystery to me.

You can stand on the escalator, but just keep to one side. He is just a cockwomble for blocking it.
