View submission: What Hobbies Do You have?

Depends on your character, personally I struggle to focus on one thing and do one or two things each wk every wk.... I rather do loads of things a few times each per yr. And for me, the point of hobbies is my own fun and enjoyment, whilst 'progress' in skill is inevitable, I don't really try very hard to 'learn'. I do an initial burst to learn quickly to get to a functional ability and then just enjoy actually doing the thing....I find the idea of committing to a weekly class or wtv a bit claustrophobic.... So my hobbies are broad but im not necessarily doing each one every wk - walks/hikes (errigal, Mournes, fairhead, glenarriffe, glenveagh etc), crafts (pottery, woodwork), art (usually pencil drawings, sometimes painting), surfing, wakeboarding (letsgohydro), skating, volunteering in youth work, 5-aside football, very rare running, DIY/gardening, helping others (eg, help your mate with their DIY and get pizza after), SUP'ing, coasteering, climbing, cooking, having friends round for food/games, on clear, moonless nights drive away from cities/villages and see the stars, camping in the summer with family and also wild camping with friends, etc etc. some of those things might be a couple times a month, some once or twice a year. All in all, it's makes for a varried, interesting way for me at least to spend my time. Also do more obvious ones like cinema, etc. male, mid thirties, husband and father - so a lot of the above is also often done as a family or with several families and all our kids. I think just start....do it tonight, text a few buddies and just do something, anything...once you get started the ideas start flowing and the people you're with will have ideas etc etc. good luck!
