View submission: Movies that were perfectly cast

I'm shocked that I got here this late and am still the first person to mention **Clue**.

Martin Mull, Tim Curry, Madeline Kahn, Christopher Lloyd, Michael McKeen, Lee Ving...plus all the ones I'm forgetting because I'm going off the top of my head. I mean, that's an All Star cast.

They cast Lee Ving as Mr. Body for the pun! And he nailed it anyway despite never acting in anything else before or since.

Came here to say Clue! It's perfect. When I was younger I always wanted to be Miss Scarlett... As an adult (38) I can confirm I am Mrs. Peacock.

C.M.: "This is war, Peacock! You can't make an omelet without cracking any eggs; any cook will tell you that."

M.P. "But look what happened to the cook!"

Perfect.

Most importantly, Coleen Camp as Yvette, thank you very much. My teenage self is annoyed you left her out.

Don't forget Jane Wiedlin from The Go Go's as the Singing Telegram girl. Even for such a short part she nailed it.

Mrs White's "flames on the side of my face" speech was adlibbed because Madelaine Kahn forgot her line.

Miss Scarlet was nearly played by Carrie Fisher.

Absolutely. It’s hard to even describe how amazing these comedic actors were in this film. It’s just not done anymore. My kids are a new generation of adoring fans for this movie.

Mr Green: That’s 6 murders all together

Loved it. If they ever #cancel Clue I will riot. It's the perfect burlesque comedy mystery.

I saw a play based on the movie, and it was cute, but no where near the hilarity or big laughs.

I've seen Cluedo (the proper name for it 😜) posted about heaps on Reddit. Is/Was it a massive cultural moment in the US or what?!?

Lee Ving actually forced upon the director by the studio. He didn't want him in it.

As a kid, I thought Alec Baldwin played Mr. Boddy and he used "Lee Ving" as a fake name that sounded like "leaving"

Since? He had roles in Flashdance and Dudes, among other acting gigs.
