This would be amazing. It’s also long overdue.
Consumption taxes (sales tax) are extremely regressive. We should honestly look into abolishing them altogether and making up the difference with higher income tax.

Or expand the tax exempt items beyond food and clothes to regular household items and furniture that are below a certain price point.
i.e. exempt the $2000 couch, but not a $20k couch. That way something like a luxury tax remains in place.

They need to start taxing value-gaining assets that rich people use to avoid taxes altogether.
Fuck the rich using compensation packages like common and preferred stock to avoid income tax. Fuck them being able to use company money freely and pay no taxes on that spending. And most of all, fuck the fact that they make millions stepping on the backs of every underpaid employee that makes the company money.

Or just making rich pay there taxes lawl it’s fucked that a lot pay less then they should from loopholes to many pay less then 7% we’ll a lot of us that aren’t rich pay 28% so fair
