View submission: Best way to sell my items
I've been posting items to Facebook marketplace the past few months, and it's been quite fruitful! Some advice: make sure you post your items at times that make sense(for example, posting at 7pm will get you more traffic than at 12am). In the title of the item, make sure you put descriptive keywords, for example I listed a grey hoodie, but I didn't simply write, "grey hoodie" in the title of the listing - I typed, "men's small athletic grey gray comfy cozy hoodie". The more descriptive/targeted the keywords are, the more exposure it'll get. I also always post a video showing the item. Venmo/Zelle may sound like they'd be convenient payment methods, BUT the purchaser can reverse those transactions after they receive their item(I actually had a friend who got scammed out of $250 that was for a Nintendo switch; the buyer cancelled the Venmo payment after they received the item.) I always explicitly state in my post at the end that I will only accept payment in cash, and local pick up in [insert name of region in local city here]. And for safety reasons, I always arrive early to the designated location for transactions and park where my car/license plate cannot be easily seen, and leave *after the buyer has left, so that they there's less chance of being followed home.

This is awesome info! Thank you very much! How do you determine the price of an item?
