I was totally worried about the same thing regarding social connections/events to take my kids to. My town has at least two different local moms who publish a website (Ann Arbor with Kids, blanking on the other one…) that has all the weekly/monthly local kid-friendly events in the area.

My other advice if you want it, at the next “kid event” you go to, try to make a connection with another parent there and exchange numbers and then actually follow and text them to arrange a hang out for the kids, or you :-) AND Check your local library’s website for their calendar of events (story times, my library does cool stuff for older kids like LEGO club and Pokemon Clubs, Minecraft role-playing club, reading to therapy dogs, story book club for elementary kids, etc). Attend these regularly and you will naturally start to make connections and expand upon your knowledge of social-happenings :)

Oh for sure! I’ll have to see if there are any mommy blogs.

I do all of that and do have a great group of mom friends in the area. But those accounts always posted more so special things that were happening around the Cleveland area in general. Some were maybe 30/40mins away but I liked knowing what was around like that. I’ll have to see if any of those instas had actual blogs like you suggested. Thanks!!
