View submission: [Meta] Political commentary in this sub
I seriously hope you stick to your word on this, since every political post, or any post that turns political on this sub is filled with comments like "Hitler MAGAts", followed by an emotional rant with no substance. Meanwhile, all the way at the bottom will be one or two conservative leaning posts on the topic which are substantive and filled with facts and reasoning, yet have dozens of downvotes.
If you honestly stick to these guidelines, every political post on this sub will literally be dead because 99% of the comments will be deleted, which probably isn't a bad thing to be honest. People need to just chill out.

Please show me a single post that is filled with comments like that where they haven't already been removed. Anytime it does pop up, we remove them if we see them or they are reported.

As I have said elsewhere in this thread, mods have zero control over this. Downvotes are community driven, and what you may see as "facts and reasoning", others likely see as misinformation. This sub (and Reddit as a whole) do tend to lean left, so you're likely fighting an uphill battle already and should do your best to "kill them with kindness" as they say and stick to just the facts rather than insults.

Not true at all, there are plenty of comments in political posts that are on topic and respectful. What you don't see as an end user are the dozens of comment from both sides we already filter for hateful, insulting behavior.
