View submission: How many Kindles is too many?

I'll never understand why people get more than one Kindle. I cannot find a good logical argument for it. Isn't the point of a Kindle that you can have all of your books on one device instead of having to carry multiple books (or in this case, devices) around?

Getting more than one just sounds like consumerism to me, to be honest.

This is my thoughts too. I'm not going to lie, I contribute to consumerism a lot, I love shopping. But the Kindle is the one thing that really feels like you're supposed to have *one* and be done.

Some people still have older Kindle and they used both the new bought and the older one depends on situation (like newer Paperwhite at home and older Basic when leaving home)
