View submission: RFK: MMR vaccine "crucial" in measles prevention after Texas outbreak

Someone must have explained to him that a .1% fatality rate means that if 1 million kids get measles, 1,000 will die. Those are numbers that can really come back to bite you. He must have decided he doesn’t want protesters outside his office chanting “Hey! Hey! RFK! How many kids did you kill today?”

Fatality rate only covers death, not complications like a kid losing their hearing or sight or becoming immunocompromised.

This is why I hated it when right-wing antivaxxers and conspiracy theorists began popping up during the COVID pandemic and talking about how we shouldn't be working ourselves up over a disease that "had a 99% survival rate." Assuming that number was correct (spoiler alert: it wasn't), if 200 million Americans were infected by the disease, that would mean 2 million American deaths.

He would have cum his fucking pants if he heard that many kids were dying. They probably told him if he does this his bribes will dry up.
