View submission: Wrong way driver on 45 S

Does this ONLY happen here? I cover the West Coast for work and I never hear or see this happening in LA, Portland, Vegas etc

I suspect it has a lot to do with our ubiquitous feeder roads. Turn the wrong way on the feeder and every exit ramp turns into an entrance ramp.

This happens on the west coast. Literally had a 3 car pileup in Pasadena less than 6 months ago for this same reason. Every city needs to install wrong way spike strips 🤦🏾‍♀️

Well, I can tell you I, a native Houstonian, completely sober, somehow ended up driving the wrong way on some pretty major road in Vegas. I did manage to put together that all.. 6? Lanes had headlights facing me, so I popped a curb and drove through a parking lot to find brake lights.

The only time I've ever driven the wrong way in Houston was after Rita. The whole city was basically abandoned, so me and some friends drove around like we were the survivors of an extinction event.

Wrong way drivers were pretty bad when I lived in Phoenix and I thought it couldn’t get any worse than there, but Houston definitely takes the crown.

My cousin unfortunately died from a wrong way driver in Philly so this I’m guessing this is a problem other places. I do notice it is not uncommon here and hear about a wrong way crash almost every weekend .
