Both profile and front page.Even logged out in incognito the right side is empty.

For the profile, that seems currently intentional. I'm not sure if there will be something there in the future. But I do agree that it's starkly empty.
For the front page, that should have a list of the most recently visited communities. So if you haven't visited anything lately, it may be empty.
