fair, I wouldn't mind it being a separate section[1] (mockup by akiyoshidoug[2]) (much like on mobile) - that would probably be easier with syncing too, but I would honestly gladly accept any implementation whatsoever

Right, a section on the new tab page (like exists on the Fenix new tab... whatever) makes a lot of sense to me.
