I don't know that collections make sense as a "top site", but folders would be nice in that area.

Yep. Vivaldi has pretty much perfected the start page, imo. Group folders is a no brainer.
I'd like tab groups, too, but that's another topic entirely.

At that point you're just reinventing bookmarks. Just make a special bookmarks folder that is displayed on the new page as icons. Subfolders get rendered as icon groups.

I would absolutely love groups and/or collections built-in. There are some add-ons that offer the feature, but that requires using a completely different new tab page - and I like the default one.
And does it not make sense to add it? After all, We have groups everywhere, and Firefox Mobile has had collections for a while now, so why not simply sync those on desktop too?

One thing I miss from Opera is their speed dial. I hope mozilla can add a speed dial section like this.
