1. i5 10400F ($180) + a Z490 ($170) for a total of $350.
2. i5 10400F + a B460 ($80) for a total of $260.
3. Ryzen 3600 ($200) + a B550 ($100) for a total of $300.
Which of these options seems best for the purpose of gaming if I don't plan to upgrade for 4-5 years? I have a GTX 1050 2GB at the moment if that changes anything and I'm looking into getting a 3060 Ti (or a gifted 1660 Ti) in the future.
I've heard #2 outperforms #3 even at a lower RAM speed, but from what I understand the catch is that it's less future proofed.
