I’m building my first pc this month. Waiting on all my parts to ship.
I only have macs in the house. I see that I am able to create a Windows usb boot disk using Boot Camp in OSX.
What about updating my BIOS? Should I do this before or after I install windows? I’ve seen both ways.
If I should update before installing windows, in OSX I can only format a disk for windows as FAT32. Does the usb drive have to be formatted NTFS to be seen by my BIOS? Or can I update the bios from a FAT32 formatted usb drive? Motherboard will be a Gigabyte, if that makes a difference.
The latest update for my motherboard is only 20mb. So file size isn’t forcing me into NTFS. Lots of googling couldn’t get me an answer. Thanks for your help.

Lots of info elsewhere on this. I was in the same position, and I was able to boot with no issues. I can’t remember exactly what I did, but there are videos on YouTube about it.

What's the motherboard and CPU? You shouldn't need to update bios for OS install unless it's a Ryzen 5000 series and certain motherboards.
