Would I be correct in assuming that a 3060ti would run 1440p games better/faster than a 5700xt?

Agree with everyone else here, BUT you should look up the few benchmark videos released today on YouTube. Anything that is an AMD sponsored title, as well as some others are very close! Much closer then they should be, with an overclock on the 5700xt it becomes almost no gap. No one has really tried to overclock a 3060ti yet, but they naturally run high clock speeds with less cores. So naturally they shouldn’t have anywhere near the overclocking room without getting into heat issues. The few exceptions to that being tomb raider and anything that heavily supports DLSS 2.0, which will give the 3060ti a nice lead of around 20-30% with very minor detail reduction most people can’t notice.

considering the 3060ti runs at around 2080s level of performance, yes, definitely
