Hi all,
I know this may not be the most obvious place to post since i'm on console, but my question is in regard to gaming monitors, so hoping you guys could help settle an issue I have...
So I have a PS4 currently and have been looking at a switch from TV gaming to monitor. I'm currently looking for monitors that will still be relevant when I upgrade to PS5.
I have limited it down to 2 monitors https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07PFJH2YX/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_dlC_Yx5XFbSQTA03K[1] https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08KQ7HWY7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabt1_bH5XFbX50BCXM?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1[2]

Both are pretty similarly priced, both 24", 144hz, 2.0 HDMI. One has 3000:1 contrast ratio and 4ms response time. The other 1000:1 and 1ms response time. Ideally I would like to play competitive online warzone etc. So response time is important. My question is whether it is generally more noticeable the difference in response times between 1 and 4ms or contrast ratios of 1000 and 3000:1? Which would you go for?
Thanks in advance guys

Yeah, response time only has to do with susceptibility to ghosting, not with input lag, like it sounds. If I were buying a monitor for a PS5 I'd start here:

or at least compare the monitors I was considering using that site.

I'm not qualified in any way to answer your question, but since you haven't gotten a response yet, I just wanted to parrot what I've seen other people say and that is that advertised response times are mostly unimportant. You have to look at professional reviews to get a good understanding of how the response times for a monitor actually are, because a "1ms response time" monitor can have times of 8ms or even higher.
