View submission: Straight Guy Reading Romance

I’m a very happily married 42 year old straight dude and I dabble in romance/books that are clearly written with women as the intended audience.

My advice is don’t worry about what other people think. Read what you enjoy. That said, there are some titles that I do prefer to read on my Kindle instead of the book just because I don’t want to field questions about Erotic Short Stories for Punjabi Women, etc.

I accidentally got someone else's book order with this book in it. I've been meaning to read it.

Yes, do not worry about what other people think, and don't compare yourself to others; that is the formula for unhappiness. If somebody judges you for your reading preference it says more about them than it does about you. All trite sentiment I know, but it always bears repeating.

I used to be embarrassed to be seen with a science fiction book in hand (it was viewed derogatorily as much more nerdy a long time ago), but I got over it. OP's reading habits are completely fine and good.

Very niche, but I'm sure an incredibly popular read for Punjabi women

Balli Kaur Jaswal is one of my favourite authors! So happy to find this random shoutout of her book.

A good book is a good book, no shame in enjoying it.
