Right, still some decicion-making space in the 1 draw ruleset, but not as important as in the 3-draw ruleset.

Most important realization in the 1 draw rules is:

!The entire drawpile is available to you at any time, only take cards from the draw pile down to the board if they help you release a new card. 'Doing any available moves' may result in beeing blocked down the line when the 3 you took from the draw pile, that did not release a new card now blocks the possibility to release a new card!<
