Yep I’m just three years younger than him I think, and it was wild realizing what a huge difference that made for exposure to Twilight. That shit was everywhere in high school circa 2007, both people loving it and people shitting on it. Crazy but understandable to think it had penetrated the monoculture at that point!

I didn't start high school (well, the irish equivalent) til 2010 but I was reading the books in '07 and was the only person I knew who was, I guess i was slightly younger than the average fan but also they didn't take off in Ireland until the movie came out imo, I was just introduced through post-Potter online fandom.
