View submission: Legendary Joker concept: Pagliacci - the sad clown that makes others Negative

Can a legendary be too good? My first thought is "no" but this is an order of magnitude better than all the other legendaries. It's a little bit worse than "Speculo" from the cryptid mod and it basically means your score and econ has no ceiling.

It has the highest ceiling but it definitely isn't the strongest overall. Perkeo can give you infinite economy by duplicating temperance/hermit if found early and transition into infinite cryptid/deaths/planets for a ridiculous endgame. Even still it is often too slow for high stakes and an early Perkeo can be a dead run if you don't find money to back it up quickly.

This joker is strictly for endgame antics and is insane there but is pretty bad if found when you need scoring/econ jokers that do something right now. You need to beat one ante just for it to not take up a slot and two antes before it provides any benefit.

I thought this was unbelievably busted but the more I think about it, it’s not that crazy. You usually find legendary jokers in the midgame so it’s lot like you’re getting 8 negative jokers out of it. Also if it’s random it encourages you to dump weak jokers before boss blunders since you don’t want something like even Steven to get negative when you have constellation for example. Also you’re not guaranteed to get good jokers as slots start opening up. You probably just start turning weak jokers negative while your powerful xmults go without. Endgame shenanigans are endgame shenanigans but if you’re not already in a good spot, this joker isn’t pulling you through.
